AWS Technical Essentials is the ideal course for anyone who wishes to get started quickly on the AWS platform. It is an introductory 1-day course designed to bring candidates quickly up-to-speed on cloud computing, virtual machines, storage, security and networking concepts.

This unique ALC course outlines the cloud computing characteristics, services models and deployment models outlined by the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST), combined with an understanding of AWS services using practical exercises. The course also includes a primer on enabling a DevOps culture using AWS tools.

This course provides an excellent primer for anyone attending the Architecting on AWS 3-day course.

Pre-requisites:

There are no specific pre-requisites for entry to the course or examination. There is however some pre-reading prior to course commencement.

Exam

Live Virtual Training – At course completion participants will be provided by BCS the examination institute, an access code to the online web-proctored exam hosted by QuestionMark and accessed via a web browser. Access codes are valid for 6 months.

Face-to-Face Training – Participants will be provided with a paper-based exam which is completed whilst at the course in the same venue of the course itself.

The format for the examination is a one hour multiple choice examination. The examination is closed book. Candidates must achieve 26 from 40 questions to pass. Successful candidates are rewarded the BCS Foundation Certificate in Business Analysis.
