Axel is an Enterprise Architecture consultant, specialising in EA governance, business architecture/strategy and in setting up EA practices in medium to large organisations and/or auditing EA practices to ensure best fit with the organisation’s chosen methodology and framework.
Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Axel has held various senior positions including Principal ICT Strategist and Principal Advisor (EA, Project/Program Assurance and ICT Strategic Policy).
Responsibilities have included ICT Resource Strategic Planning, Mobile Access Service Architecture, EA design and implementation, Business Analysis, Change Management, Systems Management, Project/Program Management, design of information and infrastructure cybersecurity and resilience architecture as well as configuring complex security controls for Assurance and Auditing.
Axel is also the author of the Strategy, Information and Resources Framework (S.I.R.F™), an innovative framework designed to maximise capabilities usage and increase overall enterprise maturity; as well as the Asset Security Classification Management (ASCM™) framework, which aims at solving the inconsistencies of security classification across the board.
Axel has an outstanding record as a trainer and is recognised for the depth of his knowledge and his ability to draw on real-world case studies and examples from direct personal experience.
His formal qualifications include Baccalaureate in Mathematics, Physics and Biology, Bachelor of Information Technology (QUT) in Networking and Security, Graduate Certificate in Business & Technology (part of the MBT at UNSW).
